Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar’s Live Music Entertainment On 6th Street In Downtown Austin
Many people visit the Austin Texas area and, in particular, the Downtown area including 6th Street. The reasons vary widely including attending an event at the Austin Convention Center or staying in town for business at one of the nearby hotels or even doing business at the State Capitol building.
Once their daytime activities are finished, many of these people want something fun to do which is unique and memorable. Live music entertainment is a consistent option since Austin always has great music. However, an interactive experience like singing along and dancing to our live musicians is a unique experience which many of our guests enjoyed!

For a super easy , high entertainment atmosphere, Pete’s is the place to be on 6th Street. Make sure you come early for seating or you will be standing in a corner.
Great entertainment. Talented band. Quick to perform any random music request. 2 pianos, a trumpet and even some rapping!!
Awesome piano bar. Charges a cover and they have no food but entertainment was great.
Came with a bachelorette party and had the VIP booth. I was worried it wouldn’t be the scene the rest of the bachelorettes wanted but everyone had an incredible night! There were several other bachelorette and bachelor parties there that night and they brought all the brides and grooms on stage for some good old fashioned fun and games. The music was great and entertaining. Everyone who went on stage did an awesome job and we were laughing and singing all night!
Best place for live entertainment on 6th street. Drinks were good. Typical for a bar of this setting. They were selling jell-o-shots the night we went. The dueling piano, as the name obviously suggests, is their highlight. Everyone were so talented. They were taking song requests and played every song really well! The crowd was great too. The space is limited, so expect to be in a cramped space on weekends. Ended up spending longer than expected here as it was so much! Must visit!
Pretty fun ambience with talented musicians playing a variety of popular songs, and drunk people celebrating on stage for the public’s entertainment. Highly recommend it. It’s a really fun and old musical establishment with over 20 years surviving on 6th Street Entertainment District.
Came in on a Sunday unsure of what to expect or how long we might stay but some solid entertainment provided by both the fantastic musicians who did an amazing job fielding requests all night AND the slightly inebriated guests who made the most of the end of their weekend kept us in our bar seats for over three hours. The bar staff was friendly and attentive (we sat at the bar but it looked like the waitress handled the tables just as well.) and the $8 cover charge seemed totally appropriate given the level of entertainment. We have been to a few other piano bars and obviously it all comes down to the interplay between the musicians and guests so I have to give credit to how well things held together as the night progressed and the drinks kept flowing. We sang, we laughed and everyone left having a memorable night.
Great time on a Saturday night on 6th street. Drinks were good and entertainment was extremely talented and fun!
Excellent showcase of musical talent with all the performers having great exchanges with the crowd and working hard to entertain everyone there. The waitstaff was prompt and attentive. The premises were generally cleaner than everywhere else, too. I had a great time.
